History
Real Life Design was set up as the trading name of Barry Fisher sometime in the mid-naughties. Before long Barry found that he was managing and collaborating on some large scale projects which required a helping hand. The time eventually came to invest in some new talent and deckhands. Real Life Design was incorporated in 2010 to pave the way for bigger things. Since then the company has worked on some interesting and challenging projects.
We think it's important to tell you our pillars for success (at stated on the home page) :
- Great designs and ideas
- Good communication throughout the whole project lifecycle
- Happy customers who can easily use the tools we create for them
Real Life Design is made up of creative and technical talent. As well as the various graphic designers and agencies we work with, we also have a core team listed below...
Our creative team...
Barry Fisher
Project co-ordinator and lead developer
Barry is a Drupal and open-source evangelist. He has worked intimately with Drupal having written numerous modules for data tracking and processing. He leads the Real Life Design team to get deliver top quality projects and ensures our customers are able to easily manage their sites. His technical specialisms include data security and scalable architectures. He has also been known to dabble in graphic design, writing piano grooves and enjoying the sunshine (when we get some!)
Damian Lee
Developer and designer
Damian is a driving force in the development department. He is an astute Drupal-ite and loves all things that push the technical curve. For example, he loves including specialised typography and decorative elements into site designs. He does this without sacrificing clarity and aims to make the online experience even more usable. In his spare time he seeks out the next “new thing” to get his teeth into- and then convince us to use it in our next project.
Rob Fisher
Business and development support
Rob joined the team in early 2011 to help spread the word! He is kept busy by making connections on social media sites as well as face-to-face meetings. He prides himself in being able to simplify technical information into a form anyone can understand. Rob also maintains a number of Drupal web sites and helps with our support requests.
Jules Manning
Creative assistant
As a (slightly-) converted technophobe, Jules makes sure our solutions are easy to use and navigate. She has an eye for detail and makes sure we develop sites as clearly as possible for end users and site managers. Jules loves Drupal and maintains many sites for our local business community.
